On November 29, 2024, many residents of El Fasher in North Darfur continue to flee to the Tawila locality, west of El Fasher, due to the ongoing conflict in the state. Civilians in several residential neighborhoods, particularly those located east of the main market, are facing artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), in addition to airstrikes conducted by Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) aircraft.
On November 30, 2024, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the eastern sector carried out intense artillery shelling this morning within the Nafasha market, located inside the Abu Shouk IDP camp. The shelling hit the grain market area, specifically the sorghum section. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Sources confirmed to the Darfur Network for Human Rights (DNHR) that the convoy which arrived in El Fasher today had departed from Zalingei yesterday, led by Mohamed Adam Al-Banjouz and Abu Al-Joud. This force was previously stationed in the Al-Jazirah-Sennar sector, Manar, and Savannah areas. They are equipped with six trucks loaded with military supplies and are heading towards El Fasher, North Darfur, with the intention of launching an attack on the city.

This situation has exacerbated the suffering of civilians, especially amidst the escalation of military operations and targeting of populated areas, forcing many families to flee in search of safety.
The Darfur Network for Human Rights (DNHR) calls on all parties to adhere to international humanitarian law and protect civilians, emphasizing the necessity of avoiding targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure.
