FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
03/12/2024
The Darfur Network for Human Rights (DNHR) wishes to clarify that it did not sign or endorse any statement issued on 15th November 2024, titled “Joint Forces Must End Military Presence in Zamzam Camp.” DNHR demands that the issuing party immediately remove its name from the statement and cease any unauthorized references to the organization.
In light of the recent escalation of violence against innocent civilians in the Zamzam IDP Camp by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), DNHR strongly condemns these human rights violations. We stand in solidarity with the victims and their families and call for accountability and justice. DNHR urges all responsible parties to cease the targeting of civilians and to respect international human rights laws.
DNHR remains firmly committed to its principles of neutrality, accountability, and transparency. We reiterate that any reference to DNHR in external communications must be made under proper authorization.
