DNMD in partnership with REDRESS conducted a successful two days (from 15^th August 2022 to 16^th August 2022) organizational strengthen Training Workshop. This was participated by the Sudanese Civil Society Organizations basing coordinations in Uganda.

REDRESS is an NGO that pursues legal claims on behalf of survivors of torture in the UK and around the world to obtain justice and reparation for the violation of their human rights. In the workshop REDRESS, Representative Emma DiNapoli (Legal Officer) in Sudan facilitated the whole proceedings where she introduced participants to the Problem tree analysis tool and the Solution tree analysis tool to be applied as one of the ways when developing concept notes, frameworks, and applications.

The workshop majorly also provided clear means for Sudanese Civil Society Organizations to improve in the concept note and proposal writing has one of the common means used in fundraising for CSOs when engaging donors/ funders for possible support for projects.

At the end of the workshop, this provided clarity on why most of the project proposals and concept notes for many Sudan Civil Society Organizations are unsuccessful.

DNMD strongly believes the work done by REDRESS and Representative Emma DiNapoli (Legal Officer) in Sudan helped the organizations present and this is for the betterment of the Sudanese’s CSOs during fundraising.
